I am actively searching for a position where I can make a difference!
Tell us about yourself
I moved to Kansas City about a year ago from the Washington DC metro area, to be near my family. I am a Procurement/Contracts professional with over 6 years experience and strong business acumen. My background is primarily in government/defense contracting and some telecommunications. Contract negotiations and building strong business relationships are the things that make my job fun for me.

On the personal side, I am married and have 3 amazing children, ranging in ages from 9 mos - 20 years old! I love going to Royals games, traveling, cooking and spending time with good friends and family! I am excited for warmer weather so I can experience all the wonderful things this area has to offer. Overall, I consider myself a blessed person and I'm enjoying my life!

Google job clubs in Kansas City...there is a comprehensive list of clubs that meet periodically that can potentially help...also google executive search firms and staffing companies in Kansas City and get your resume to them. There are a number of companies in the area that exclusively use recruiters. There are alot of companies that utilize free sites such as craigslist and definately get an online profile set up on linkedin.com. There are also online industry specific networking organizations you can join to meet other business people. Look me up on linkedin and you will see what I am referring to. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps. The key is - networking.

Did I ever get back to you? I'm so sorry, I was on vacation that week and it got buried down in my email when I returned and I haven't visited my page here in a while. I used to handle a procurement positions when I specialized in Accounting/Finance recruitment, but right now I am currently doing some contract/consulting for a company and am out of the loop (looking for a new job myself!) If I hear of anything through any of my contacts, I will definately let you know.
