The Recruiter Sourcing Specialist is responsible for facilitating the identification and selection of world-class talent at all levels with a focus on professional and manager level positions using a wide variety of sourcing methods. Develops targeted sourcing strategies and utilizes recruiting technology to generate high quality candidate pools. Understands the employment market and trends. Develops detailed job descriptions and on-line screening questions with a thorough understanding of the key responsibilities and competencies necessary for success in the targeted job.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as recruiting and sourcing expert for assigned business units by fully understanding hiring needs, position specifications and search requirements.
Works with subject matter experts to build job descriptions and pre-screening questions to attract and retain high quality candidates.
Develops and implements effective recruiting strategies and best practices to source, attract, screen, recruit and select high quality candidates.
Sources passive candidates through networking, cold calling, complex internet searches, name generation and internet mining.
Sources active candidates from on-line databases, contact lists, internal databases, job boards and employee referrals.
Identifies new talent pools, including but not limited to: professional societies, networks, alumni associations, competitors, social networks, etc.
Enhances recruiting expertise through articles, surveys, news groups, on-line communities, recruiter blogs, training and conferences attendance.
Participates on and/or leads special projects in support of Talent Management initiatives.
Supports college and diversity recruiting, new employee orientation, and other functions.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in business, communications, human resources or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
Experience recruiting and sourcing in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Ability to communicate and build effective relationships with peers, hiring managers, subject matter experts, and executives.
Ability to persist and exhibit confidence even after a hard refusal.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and work effectively within a team environment.
Ability to sell and market EMBARQ to experienced professionals.
Ability to source candidates of all levels and effectively build candidate pipelines.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment.
Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Excellent written communication, oral communication, and presentation skills.
Knowledge of and experience with EEOC, ADA, and ADEA guidelines regarding recruitment, selection, and staffing.
Strong organizational skills with an excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of extensive recruiting/sourcing experience.
Experience with applicant tracking and employee records systems.
Experience with internet candidate sourcing and candidate mining via search engines.
External recruiting agency experience, including both research and candidate development, or equivalent work experience.
