Event Description

It is time for our first event of the year! We will be moving locations to Dos Hombres and have two excellent guest speakers lined up. Al Fitzmorris, former KC Royal and owner of A & J Apparel, will be talking about changing careers/reinventing yourself. Dan Gabbert with Kansas City LifeCoaches will be talking about setting and achieving your goals. Dan has also posted a blog on our site to help kick off the discussion. We will be providing free appetizers, will have fabulous door prizes and expect well over 100 people to start the year off right! I look forward to meeting you and please remember to invite a friend!

Al Fitzmorris
After graduating from James Madison High School in San Diego, Al signed a professional baseball contract with the Chicago White Sox. Over the next 15 years, Al would spend 10 years in the Major Leagues pitching for the Kansas City Royals, Cleveland Indians, and the California Angels.
After retiring, Al began working in the Marketing and Sales field which eventually led him back to the Kansas City area. While continuing in the Sales/Marketing area, Al began doing radio and TV pre and post game shows as an analyst, reporting on the Kansas City Royals and baseball in general. This lasted for 18 years and he still continues to occasionally get behind the mic. Al is also an active member of the Kansas Royals Alumni Association and sought after speaker in Kansas City. For the last 8 years, Al and Jan have owned an apparel company that specializes in sports uniforms for teams and leagues, corporate logo’d gear and shirts, and T-Shirts for various causes and events.

Dan Gabbert
With over 20 successful years in corporate America, including multiple roles with Southwestern Bell Telephone (AT&T), Texas Instruments, IBM, and others, he left the world of high-tech sales to follow his passion. Dan’s background includes building, designing and leading teams; launching new products and territories; fourteen years of successful sales and sales management; and negotiations with over 100 public and private sector organizations in the US and Canada.
In his coaching practice, Dan works with teams and individuals from all walks of life to help them set and achieve their goals, find integrated balance, realize their potential, and lead lives of impact and purpose. Dan’s passion is to help others find their purpose, passion, and to live life at the next level!

Good Morning KC Online Community!

I just wanted to confirm that Dos Hombres (Holmes location) will be open for the event this evening. I called the number listed, and it said it was not in service.

Thank you!
I hope it is still on, and to see all of you there!
