- Barb James is the President and CEO of HRedge Solutions. She is an executive human resources professional who has been a senior leader in rapidly changing and complex organizations and environments.
Barb and HRedge Solutions work with any organization that wants to unleash their human potential for optimum performance. Using breakthrough methodologies, Barb empowers companies to exceed expectations while improving employee satisfaction and promoting departmental effectiveness.
Prior to founding HRedge Solutions, Barb spent 18 years taking on many formidable challenges that have earned her a reputation for superior results, judgment and integrity. She has served as an HR business partner and trusted advisor to CEOs, CFOs and CIOs, as well as, other senior leaders within organizations such as the Department of Defense Europe, General Electric and numerous small to medium-sized organizations.
In these roles, Barb played a critical role in business expansions, merger integrations, reorganizations and complicated employee relations matters. In addition, she developed world class human resources functions, was a key contributor on senior human resources teams that established industry renowned programs in leadership development, compensation and benefits, training and development, performance management, work life balance and continuous process improvement methodologies.
Barb is consistently working to stay on the forefront of emerging trends in the area of workforce management and is in constant pursuit of continuing education opportunities. And in an effort to continually grow their business and expand their service offering, Barb and HRedge Solutions work closely with strategic partners that are experts in their industry and seasoned business professionals and mentors.
Barb is actively involved with many professional organizations to include both Kansas and Missouri Chapters of the Human Resource Management Association, Society of Human Resource Management, the Kansas City Chapter of the Compensation and Benefits Association, American Society of Training & Development, World at Work, The Roundtable, several local Chambers of Commerce, the Kansas Women’s Business Center and the Emerging Women’s Business Roundtable.
